The Food Productivity Specialist course (FPS) is a completely revised programme with refreshed local context and updated curriculum to equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to increase business productivity in the sector Food Services. It is aimed at food industry practitioners and professionals who want to deepen their skills to lead and manage productivity improvements in their business or pursue a career as a productivity consultant specialising in the food industry.


Jointly developed with Japan Productivity Centre (JPC), the programme builds on the foundation of the Certified Productivity Consultant course where Singapore Productivity Centre (SGPC) has certified more than 150 Productivity Consultants till date. SGPC is the only enterprise in Singapore overseeing and conducting this programme.


Business Owners, Managers (such as Operations Manager & Branch Manager) tasked to look after the business performance, and Industry Practitioners who wish to upskill their capability for career growth, or who aspire to become a F&B industry consultant can apply.

2. Measure and track productivity improvements systematically

3. Apply the skills and tools from the class to implement solutions

4. Review, diagnose and continuously improve the business



The intensive 36 hours classroom session will bring you up to speed on the latest trends of the F&B sector and equip you with the latest consulting methodologies, tools and techniques to achieve productivity and business goals. Upon completion of the classroom session, you will receive a “Certification of Completion”.



Trainees who wish to receive the Certificate of Competency may submit a project report for SGPC’s assessment within 6 months of completing the classroom session. A panel of consultants from SGPC will assess the project and a summary of recommendations will also be issued.

Chan Kwan Hong

In 2014, Kwan Hong graduated from the Certified Productivity Consultant (CPC) programme.   CPC training was a joint programme between Japan Productivity Centre and Singapore Productivity Centre (SGPC).   Over the years, he has conducted trainings organised by SGPC.   These programmes have benefitted many aspiring consultants and SMEs in their productivity journey.

Kwan Hong is currently Senior Consultant and Master Trainer of SGPC.    He is a Professional Singapore Certified Management Consultant certified by TÜV SÜD PSB, under TR 43:2015 certification.  He is also Advanced Certification in Training and Assessment (ACTA) certified.   He holds an MBA from Manchester Business School.

With his extensive experience in productivity, he has assisted many companies achieved both qualitative and quantitative benefits.   Kwan Hong is a firm believer in training to empower SME to step up and improve productivity.  During his training, he openly shares his experience and imparts knowledge to participants.
